Got Vitamins?

Updated: Jul 20, 2023

Full disclosure: I carry Poliquin Group and Thorne supplements. My mentor and friend of 26 years, Dr Eric Serrano formulates the supplements for the Poliquin Group and uses them with ALL of his Multimillion Dollar athletes but also for his patients with very serious health issues.

These are just a few things to look for!

Vitamin A

Should have either Retinol and or Palmitate at either 100% or at least 30% of the total. If the vitamin you look at only has Beta Carotene, I do not recommend using it. When I was in Nutrition Classes at Montclair State, we were taught that everyone can convert Beta Carotene to Vitamin A. We now know that is not true. Over 50 % of the population cannot convert it to Vitamin A. Vitamin A is THE KEY nutrient to immune health among many other cellular needs.

55% of the population is deficient in Vitamin A

Vitamin E

If the vitamin you are using has DL-Alpha-Tocopherol THROW IT OUT! This is the synthetic form of Vitamin E and has been linked to numerous health issues. Best form is one that has a blend of Tocopherols AND Tocotrienols. 86% of the population is deficient in Vitamin E. Vitamin E is KEY to the phospholipid bilayer membranes of the cells.

Vitamin D

Should be in the cholecalciferol version known as D3.

Magnesium

If the Multi uses Magnesium oxide it is of poor quality. Only 5% of magnesium oxide is absorbed. Better forms are glycinate and malate. 68% of the population is deficient in Magnesium and most Doctors think the standards are too low.

Folate.

The Multi should use natural Folate and not Folic Acid. 75% of the population is deficient.

B12

B12 should be in the form of Methyl cobalamin the natural form and not Cyanocobalamin the synthetic form.
